A poor widow, Su Wanqing, discovers her supposedly dead husband, Jiang Yuancheng, faked his death to live with his twin brother's family. She finds love with another man, Gu Qinghe, and exposes Jiang Yuancheng's deceit. Jiang Yuancheng loses his job and family, and Su Wanqing's happiness seems within reach.
